Old Guard soldiers welcome Honor Flight Ohio
Summary
Spc. Jeremiah Humphries passes a flag to Sgt. Timothy Goeres, infantrymen, Honor Guard Company, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), during a flag folding ceremony at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., Oct. 20. The flag was the original used during a funeral in the 1940s for a WWII veteran who died in the war. Eighty-seven WWII and Korean War veterans visited the memorial with the help of the Honor Flight Network, a non-profit organization which transports veterans of past wars to their respective memorials in Washington, D.C.
