NDU professor talks capacity building at DOD Center

James Q. Roberts talks to the participants in the Program in Security Sector Capacity Building at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies here Nov. 18. Roberts, the Office of the Secretary of Defense Chair and Assistant Professor for the Strategic Leadership Department at the Eisenhower School at National Defense University in Washington, gave a lecture titled “Defense Role in Capacity Building” to the program participants. Roberts formerly served as the U.S. deputy director of the Marshall Center until 2009 and is a former principal director and acting deputy assistant secretary of the Special Operations and Combating Terrorism Office in the Pentagon.
