More than 30,000 pounds of mail is arranged for sorting
Summary
More than 30,000 pounds of mail is arranged for sorting in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington after an extended delay in the delivery of parcels while in South Korea. The ship's post office receives approximately 1,000 to 2,000 pounds of mail each day. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is underway helping to ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
