Maruf District Gov. Abdul Samat Durrani, center, attends the model farm demonstration outside the Maruf District Center, Afghanistan, Feb. 23 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Durrani was on hand as Maruf’s model farmer and his brother demonstrated proper seed bedding procedures to 25 area farmers. The Afghan-led project was assisted by coalition forces with Special Operations Task Force – South.
