Lance Cpl. Caden Elliott, a data systems administrator with Communication Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), sets up an individual tent during a training exercise in preparation for a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 3, 2020. The purpose of this training is to ensure full accountability and functionality of manpower and equipment requirements for all future operations. Elliott, a native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, graduated from Bolingbrook High School in 2019 and enlisted out of Recruiting Station Plainfield in 2018. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
