Summary

Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site staff worked with Richmond (VA) artist Sir James Thornhill to create a mobile community mural of Maggie L. Walker silhouetted against the Richmond skyline. Visitors were invited to paint a portion of the mural, creating a one-of-a-kind art piece highlighting Walker’s contributions and her emphasis on the community.
