The U.S. Army Reserve command team visited troops deployed throughout Afghanistan. The Army Reserve, which was founded in 1908, as a reserve corps of medical personnel, now includes 148 different military occupation specialties and accounts for almost 20 percent of the Army’s total force. There are more than 6,000 Army Reserve soldiers deployed in Afghanistan and Kuwait.
