Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez, commander of ISAF Joint Command, is greeted by coalition leaders at Camp Julien, June 16, as he prepares to speak with Afghan and coalition troops and leaders at the Counter Insurgency Academy. As the commander of IJC, Rodriguez has constantly stressed the importance of partnership and perseverance for all the nations involved in assisting Afghan forces to further enhance security throughout the nation. The training provided by the COIN Academy is meant to prepare the graduates for the challenges they will face in a counter-insurgency environment.
