Louis d'Or au soleil - Engraving, Public domain image
Summary
Print shows Louis XIV sitting next to a table, head resting on his left elbow which rests on his left knee; he is asleep, though his right hand rests on money bags lying on the table with some loose coins. He wears a Louis d'Or medal and a large, plumed hat. A battle scene is depicted on the fabric that hangs from the table, possibly the battle of Blenheim. The sun shines through a window behind him, also visible through the window is a man swimming on a river. There is a large chest on the floor in the lower right.
