Summary
A RIM-116 ship-launched intercept aerial guided missile is launched from a rolling airframe missile launcher during a live-fire exercise aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington is conducting carrier qualifications and flight deck certification in preparation for a homeport change to Yokosuka, Japan, to replace the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) as the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
