Significance: This a typical example of the yacht clubs built in resort communities along the New Jersey coast during the early 20th century. Recreational clubs such as this represent nearly two centuries of boating in this region. This particular yacht club was erected in Italianate style, designed in stucco but executed in cedar shingle.
