Summary
William P. Weeks writes Amos A. Phelps thanking him for his letter, stating that Phelps has been "long absent from his friends and his home, and whose unexpected return occasioned much joy and surprise." He asks Phelps questions about his future on where he is to be settled. He writes of politics in Canaan, explaining "you know I was rather inclined when at South Berswick to be a Baptist. The Lord deliver me from a Politician Minister." He writes of other news in South Berswick from a letter he received.
