Summary
Hughes writes Garrison to offer his congratuations & respects concerning Garrison's support of Abraham Lincoln's re-election, & denounces those within the American Abolition movement which have broken with Garrison concerning this political endorsement. Hughes closes with his (from, as he states, an English perspecive) assessment of Lincoln's performance as President.
