Letter from Simeon Smith Jocelyn, New Haven, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Sept 28th 1833

In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Simeon Smith Jocelyn reports on the response of people to whom he presented Phelps’s circular. A few people declined to sign it (and Jocelyn gives the reasons); Jocelyn himself would not sign it in its present form. But several people signed it, and he gives their names.
