Letter from Parentha Bodwell, Simsbury, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Jan. 1st 1829

Amos A. Phelps’s cousin, Parentha Bodwell, writes to Phelps about Phelps’s mother’s wish to hear about the situation of Ennis’s property because she is concerned that she may lose what Ennis owes her. After this letter, Bodwell copies the letter of Clarissa Tryon, Phelps’s mother, to Phelps, which discusses the delay in the payment she has been expecting to receive, an action she needs to take, and what she needs Phelps to do for this. The letter continues on discussing financial matters.
