Letter from Elizur Wright, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1835 Sept[ember] 4
Summary
Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding a prosecution of a postmaster of New York for "refusing to hand over publications." He also writes of Brother Birney going to Ohio to consult with Mr. Weld about "starting the Philanthropist at Cincinnatti." He also writes about a publication from Mr. Jay that addresses the evils of slavery. He writes, "in the next Emancipator we will publish the fury of the South in one immense gust--filling the whole outside form."
