Summary
David Lee Child writes to William Lloyd Garrison sending him "No. 3 of the Remarks on the Funeral Hall Meeting," and proposing to add another "word or two on the resolutions generally in the North & South." Child tells Garrison that "the famous spouter Gov[erno]r [James] Hamilton is here supposed for the countenancing and organizing of kidnappers and assassins" and that "$100,000 is the prize for Arthur Tappan's head." He predicts that, "If Arthur Tappans blood should be shed the fate of oppression if not of oppressors .. be sealed in this country." After his autograph, Child remarks that he was glad "to see the evidence which Mr. May furnished that abolition is still in the field."
