Letter from Amos Augustus Phelps, Boston, June [13, 1833]

description

Summary

Amos A. Phelps writes that “a number of friends” are interested in starting a weekly religious paper. He says it should cover a broad topic and should consider itself “pledged to no particular party of men or class of opinions, but as set for the deference of truth.” He then asks the recipient a number of questions, including his opinion with regard to the demand for this type of publication, his capacity to circulate copies of such a paper, and the possibility of him to write for it.
