"Ледоход в Петербурге. (Ледоход на Неве)".

Alexander Dmitrievich Litovchenko was a Russian painter who lived from 1835 to 1890. He was known for his landscape paintings, often depicting scenes from the Russian countryside and forests. Litovchenko was a member of the Peredvizhniki, a group of Russian realist artists who sought to depict the lives of ordinary people and the beauty of nature. His work can be found in museums and galleries across Russia. Litovchenko studied at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts and later travelled extensively throughout Russia, painting the landscapes and people he encountered. He was particularly drawn to the forests of Russia, which he depicted in many of his paintings. Litovchenko was also known for his skilful use of light and shadow to create a sense of depth and atmosphere in his works. In addition to his landscapes, he also painted portraits and genre scenes. Despite his success as an artist, Litovchenko struggled with alcoholism and died at the age of 55.
