Lance Cpl. Dario Covarrubias hammers a part into place during the reassembly of a M777 A2 Medium Towed Howitzer Sept. 14, 2018, at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Armament Repair Platoon repairs weapons in support of 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division to ensure the safety of the Marines operating the weapons. Covarrubias is an Amphibious Assault Vehicle mechanic with Armament Repair Platoon, Ordnance Maintenance Company, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
