Lal-lo Church (S. Ciencia) - Flickr

Lal-lo was the seat of the Diocese of Nueva Segovia from 1595 until this was transferred in Vigan, Ilocos Sur in 1755. The present church, where 3 bishops are interred including the founder of the University of Santo Tomas, is what remained of the former diocese . La-lo used to be the capital of Cagayan province until 1839 when the provincial seat of power was relocated to Tuguegarao.
