Summary

Kangwha church, [s.d.]
Dr. George Heber Jones visited the prosperous island of Kangwha in 1892. After only three days, the Governor ordered him to leave. In his short stay he became acquainted with a few people and later sent a native evangelist. In spite of bitter prosecution, a vigorous work followed. Ten years later, 200+ prominent Christians escorted Dr. Jones through the very gate from which he had been previously driven. In those ten years, church membership came to exceed 2000.
