Summary
Significance: This farm was the home of John Turn (1783-1867), a local cabinetmaker and carpenter. He was responsible for the carpentry in the construction of several dwellings and dependencies in the vicinity.
The farm layout and type of outbuildings represent the necessary functions of a self-sufficient farm in the area. The smokehouse and weave house are important because few, if any, still remain in the area.
