Red, dark blue, green and white, single jacquard coverlet. Sides and bottom have a double border of stylized flowers and grape vine. Two trade blocks which read "John / Kaley / 1840 / C / Fehler". Pattern is four roses with sunburst. Sides have self fringe, approx. 3.5". Bottom has applied fringe approx. 4.5". Top is hemmed.; This beautiful single Jacquard coverlet is wonderfully colored with green, red, and dark blue wool, and has deep side fringe and applied fringe on the bottom. The field or main pattern is four roses and sunburst or windrose design and the borders are a double row of vines and flowers. Nothing is known about John Kaley or C. Fehler, who is probably the person who commissioned the coverlet.
