International Security Assistance Force explosive ordnance disposal experts recover a 100 mm round projectile from the remnants of a vehicle after remotely detonating a charge to blow up the vehicle in Wardak province, Dec. 21. Insurgents attempted to used the car as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, but a concerned citizen notified authorities prior to the vehicle being successfully detonated by enemy forces. EOD experts also found remnants of spent rocket-propelled grenades inside the burnt out vehicle.
