Compiled and drafted by Frederick Stein from the latest official United States surveys, exhibiting the sections and fractional sections, the boundaries of civil townships and counties. Canals and railroads, the location of cities, villages, and post offices." "Geographisurvey compiled and arranged by Ryland Thomas Brown, Prof. Nat. Science, N.W. Christian University and the late State Geologist." It also provides statistics on representation in congress, ratio of increase of population of the states and territories, railroads of Indiana from the 1860 census, state population by county from the 1860 census, a diagram of the course and position of each state with ration of increase from 1790 to 1860, and the location of congressional districts in Indiana. It also has illustrations of the Indiana Institute of the Education of the Blind, Indiana Hospital for the Insane, and the Indiana Institute of the Education of the Deaf and Dumb.
