Summary
Drawing shows the Humboldt River snaking its way across the valley from a vantage point up in the mountains. The California Trail is in the foreground. The California Trail picks up the Humboldt River near present-day Elko, Nevada. Jenks arrived here on Saturday, July 31 and remained through Monday, August 1, 1859.
