David Teniers the Younger (1610–1690) was a Flemish Baroque painter, known for his genre scenes of peasant life. He was the son and disciple of David Teniers the Elder. In 1637 he married Anna, the daughter of the painter Jan Brueghel the Elder. Teniers painted mainly genre scenes of peasant life, many of which were later used for tapestries in the 18th century. His early works in this vein demonstrate the influence of Adrian Brower (for example, Peasants playing Music).
