Summary

Kolb Studio — clings to the edge of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, in Grand Canyon Village, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona.

It was the home and photographic studio of Grand Canyon pioneers, Emery and Ellsworth Kolb, and was begun in 1904.
Today, this historic studio is open year-round. It contains an exhibit hall, bookstore, and information center operated by the Grand Canyon Association.

Log siding in need of repair. In some cases the original siding is coaxed back into place with improved fasteners, and when this isn't possible it is replaced by hand tooling new siding to match the original piece. The work of cutting and shaping the new pieces is taking place right in front of the Kolb Garage, where the public can view it.  ::*GCA Photo by Terri Attridge.
