Howard Coster (1885-1959) was a British photographer known for his portraits of notable people, particularly in the fields of art, culture and politics. He was born on 7 June 1885 in Yorkshire, England. Coster gained recognition for his work in the early to mid 20th century. Coster set up his photographic studio in London's West End in 1927 and quickly became a sought-after portrait photographer.
