Summary
Gen. David Petraeus, commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces - Afghanistan, is greeted by Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez and Curtis Scaparrotti, the current and future commanders of ISAF Joint Command June 9 in Kabul. Petraeus took the opportunity to visit the leaders and to address some of the staff working in the Combined Joint Operations Center. Petraeus, a 37-year Army veteran, will be retiring from the military to take up a new position as the CIA director. After more than two consecutive years in Afghanistan, Rodriguez will be returning to the states where he will receive his fourth star and lead U.S. Forces Command.
