Fragment, late 18th century (CH 18556981)

Velvet fragment. White ground with horizontal stripes and sawtooth lines in supplementary yellow warp. Vertical blue stripes of cut pile showing design of floral vines, and a large central band showing a partial portrait medallion with florals.
