Fragment, late 18th century (CH 18401999-3)

White silk, thin taffeta, painted in colors, in thin, delicate all-over vine design, of roses, small blossoms, berries, buds. Colors red, violet, blue, green, brown; overpainting and shading. Two breadths from a skirt, each 59cm long, shows gathering at top and one breadth seamed at top. Fragment (B) of same.
