Fascinate With Rhythm—Fifes and Drums at the Fort

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine: On Young Defenders’ Day, April 25, 2018, more than 850 Baltimore City students visited different learning stations throughout the park. While in the historic Star Fort, rangers and volunteers interpreted the role of field musicians at Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 and performed authentic music from the period.
