An extract from a Theodore Parker sermon on the "Hinderances to Spiritual Freedom." In this sermon, he writes of the bible, "if men will take a just view of it, will interpret its inspirations by reason and conscience, then it is of the greatest value, then you cannot spread it too fast or too far. If you take the other view, how it enslaves the mind of all Christendom against the spirit of bondage, I ask you to enjoy the glorious liberty of the sons of God."
