Early spring snow blankets DoD Center
Summary
Snow blankets the statue of U.S. Army Gen. George C. Marshall outside the DoD/German European Center for Security Studies that bears his name March 24. The freak snow storm brought more than a foot of snow in some spots, blanketing the Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, area. The weather event followed 60-degree temperatures and sun that sustained for more than a week and causing delays with reporting. The Marshall Center, a unique German-American partnership, has been in Garmisch since 1993. (DoD photo by Christine June/RELEASED)
