Summary

According to letter from Meriggioli to DCM dated 13 Nov. 1937, this "Baritone (Bass) Flute in C is the first buil[t] by Mr. Albisi...and was used in the score of his opera 'La Parisina.'" This instrument has a very large bore (37.2 mm.) causing it to be very difficult to produce a tone.
