Suez Canal (Jul. 24, 2002) The aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) transits the Suez Canal during the early stages of her return home. The Kennedy and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW-7) are completing a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and were recently relieved of duties in the Arabian Gulf region by the USS George Washington (CVN 73).
