Paper; thick dark cream color laid paper with no visible chain lines or watermarks; text withing an elaborate ruled border of blue, gold, red, green, and red lines; page 1 has elaborate floral unwan in gold, bule, and red; Arabic sayings in large script within sections the width of the ruled border; Persian explanations below each saying in smaller boxes with decorative blue and gold end panels on either side; sayings in alternate gold and blue ink (Naskh script), Persian explanations in black ink in small Nastaʻliq script; catchwords on every page.
