Collection of 10 Indian baskets on display, ca.1900
Photograph of a collection of 10 unidentified Indian baskets on display, photographed ca.1900. They are displayed on two tiers covered with a cloth and displayed leaning against a blanket backdrop outside (judging from the foliage visible in the background on both sides). They are mostly shaped like shallow cones or bowls. They generally increase in size from top to bottom. They have differing woven patterns including stripes, zig-zags, diamonds, steps, etc. Image 17.
