Col. (R) Mike Plummer (left), the Man of the Mountain and the first commander of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, and Col. Scott Himes (right), the outgoing 2BCT commander, present the Shield of Sparta to Himes’ wife, Anjoleen, for her significant contributions to the infantry, May 9, at Fort Drum, New York. Immediately following the award presentation, Himes relinquished command of the brigade to Col. Paul Larson during a change of command ceremony on Sexton Field.
