KIN BLUE, Okinawa (Sept. 13, 2020) Corpsmen with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), test the temperatures of evacuee role-players during a noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) rehearsal. A NEO is the evacuation of civilians and nonessential military personnel from danger in an overseas country to a designated safe haven. CLB-31, 31st MEU, conducted the training from amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) to increase speed and proficiency during a NEO. America, flagship of America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
