The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) is undergoing a planned incremental availability while Ronald Reagan and the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) crews conduct a hull swap. Ronald Reagan will relieve George Washington as the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier in Yokosuka, Japan, and George Washington will return to Newport News, Va., for a mid-life refueling complex overhaul.
