POTOMAC, Md. (Oct. 02, 2013) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Jonathan Greenert poses for a photo with Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens and his wife and Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Micheal Barrett and his wife at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) International Conference Banquet. Greenert spoke to the group and gave thanks to the organization for supporting Sailors, Marines and their families since 1904. The NMCRS' workforce is comprised of nearly 90 percent volunteers who provide financial assistance and counseling, quick assist loans, education assistance health education and post-combat support, advice on how to budget for a baby, emergency travel assistance, disaster relief and thrift shops for Sailors, Marines and their families.
