KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Jun. 04, 2011) Chief Construction Mechanic Scott Brown, center, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 26, briefs Seabees from NMCB-26 and NMCB-1 on range safety procedures before a crew served weapons familiarization training exercise at the Tarnak Weapons Range. NMCB-1, from Gulfport, Miss., is relieving NMCB-26, a reserve component battalion from Harrison, Mich., in June as one of two Seabee battalions deployed to Afghanistan under Task Force Overlord. The 25th Naval Construction Regiment, from Gulfport, Miss., is the command and control element for Task Force Overlord, which is responsible for construction engineering and engineering support in southern, southwestern and western Afghanistan.
