Nimitz High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) students listen to USS Houston (SSN 713) crew member, Sonar Technician 2nd Class Alejandro Deleon, who is the boat's Sailor of the Year, speak about lifestyle, food, and jobs aboard Houston. The Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO) sponsored Deleon and Executive Officer, USS Houston, Lt. Cmdr. Brian Davies' visit to the high school as part of Houston Navy Week activities. The Houston Navy Week is one of 20 such weeks this year in occurring cities throughout the heartland arranged by the NAVCO, a new unit tasked with enhancing the Navy's brand image through such events.
