Calypso is a genus of orchids containing only one species, the Calypso orchid (Calypso bulbosa). It is also known as the fairy slipper or Venus's slipper. A perennial plant, these rare, ephemeral beauties may be spotted in the spring in Northern White Cedar stands but won't be around for long.
