Significance: The Log House at Briarwood is the only built structure on the site that has been listed as a contributing resource on the National Register Nomination Form because it dates from Caroline Dormon's residency on the property. It was designed and built in 1950 and was occupied by Caroline and Virginia until their deaths in 1971 and 1954 respectively. The house was designed by Caroline who oversaw and directed the construction by local craftsman John Hines from nearby Goldonna, Louisiana.
