Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Daniel Johnson, from Glen Ellyn, Ill., observes an aqueous film forming foam sprinkler system test aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) during an inspection by the Navy’s Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV). INSURV inspections occur every five years to ensure mission readiness. Germantown is forward-deployed and currently underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
