Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Steven Snow, assigned to Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific, conducts a safety brief before taking five rigid-hulled inflatable boats to the site of the West Loch disaster. The Surface Navy Association, including sailors from ATG MIDPAC, the guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65), the guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70) and the guided-missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37), conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at the site of LST-480 in commemoration of the West Loch disaster of May 21, 1944.
